Posted by: KimI agree with you on the idea for "every" word, deed, etc. (could be overwhelming)...I think, however, the point McManus was trying to make was that if we're listening and in tune to the heart of God we'll be led to seize divine moments and we should never be surprised by how significant, one action, one word might be...IE. Jesus's thought, a cup of water given to someone else = a deed done for him personally. I guess context helps...the statement on it's own is somewhat "existential".
