Well, after the Good Friday service, I slept. Through the day, through the night, right into Saturday. That felt good. Still a little down, but it's been a quiet day.
And....
While everyone's got their attention on hockey, I'm watching The Masters, that's golf for those who are golf challenged.
I will confess I'm a Tiger Woods guy. I started playing golf just before that first master's for Woods. A record setting -20. I remember watching that glued to the TV. Now, you're thinking who watches golf glued to the TV, well, there's some of us. How's he doing this weekend? Well, not very well, we'll just leave it at that. There's nothing exciting happening this round, but I'm still watching, hoping, believing.
As for hockey, I remember being a thirteen year old boy, glued to a TV, praying, "Lord, if you just let them win..." They didn't win then, and they haven't won for a long time, so as far as the Leafs go, they'll have to go pretty far to make a believer out of me. Of course, I wouldn't say that in public. Someone could get hurt voicing that in Toronto.
Oh, and as far as praying for winners, I was young then. Let the best man win!
Cough, cough....Got to go!
