Last night we wrapped up our youth year with a party.
It was a lot of fun and ended with a bang! I think both the leaders and the kids are looking forward to next year. But I, as a leader, am surely looking forward to the break, however, it's a break that will involve lots of planning so that next year is even more solid.
Interesting to note, even on the last night we had three new kids out. One of them someone who used to come to Richview, 5 years ago.
We have been blessed this year! So much potential wrapped up in each of these lives.
Posted by ed | TrackBackWhat happens to your youth program over the summer Ed? Do you totally shut down until Sept. or do you have Bible studies and events during the summer also?
Posted by: GeorgeJust in case your question assumes that our youth ministry is further along than it is, let me explain quickly. Our youth ministry program has been in a rebuilding phase (from scratch) as of last fall. This summer we are doing some activities (not many) - the greatest need we have right now is to build a ministry that is solid in both discipling kids as well as reaching new kids (ok - I see that as one and the same thing) so, this summer is going to be pretty intense in terms of training and planning to the end of creating something that is best for the long-term.
Posted by: edRight on Ed, I think its one of the most important ministries for the church, if not THE most important.
