I've been asked by several of you, online and personally about Luca's hair. Has it been cut, is it going to be cut....
Well, here's the low down. Lucas had asked for his hair to be cut when playing with a few girls who only played with him until they realized he was a boy. That sparked a, "I want my hair cut" frenzy. That is, until the time came for the hair cut. As we were getting ready to go to the hair dresser, he looks at me and says, "how about we wait till I get my computer back to decide."
You will remember, removing his computer for the summer was his final punishment after not being able to deal with the stealing thing after several years. This and a lot of positive reinforcement through the summer has seemed to do the trick, at least as far as the summer was concerned. That's a great improvement.
Well, I'm typing this on his computer as I've just finished setting it back up. School starts up on Tuesday morning. And mom has shed many a tear already, I think I'll be the one dropping him off on Tuesday - I don't think she'll be able to do it, but that's another story.
I just asked Lucas about going to get his hair cut now that he got his computer back, his words..."Naaahhh, I'll never get my hair cut forever!" So, there you have it - the hair stays! We'll see after the first weekof school is up. He says he won't care about what the other kids say, but Lucas has always been a follower, so, we'll see...
By the way his first visit to school was a major hit. The teacher and he got along really, really well... but that's another post.
