To blog, or not to blog?

In one month I will celebrate my two year anniversary blogging. My friend, Sandy, said he'd give me a month. I can't even believe it's been this long. Recently, however, due to some of the changes in my life and the sporadic nature of my posting, I have really wondered about whether I should keep blogging or not.

I was about 50/50 on the matter when I received a comment on a recent post. And it's pretty much changed my mind about whether to blog or not. The comment was so honest, so heartfelt that it blew me away.

Interesting thing is, it wasn't a comment on the post, and it really didn't come as a result of blogging, however, the blog provided the forum for someone to express something that I probably would have otherwise never heard.

So, for now, maybe the next two weeks or so (just kidding)...I'll stick to it! Although I am reconsidering the nature of my blogging, can't tell you what that means, cause I haven't figured it out myself. I've never been good at diaries and journals...so blogging was a big, okay, a huge leap. I just need to figure out what purpose this has in my life right now...

Hey Ed! I check your blogs all the time. I like to see what's going on in your and Vania's life since I live so far away from you. It keeps me connected to you guys in some ways. I say KEEP BLOGGING!!

I think we need more of this - people telling the stories of what God is doing, and just of lives in general. There is power in story.

So I would consider you to keep it up for sure. I appreciate hearing what's up in your life and recognizing God moments as they happen.

Wow! - Originally I was going to turn off the comments on this one because I didn't want it to sound like a sob story.

Still, thank you!

And Sarah good to hear from you - you don't know how many times you've made it into my sermons as what can do in someone's life when he gets a hold of it. Send me an e-mail sometime letting me know how you're all doing.

I wasn't thinking of getting rid of the site though...I am trying to update it (slowly) - will be changing the information in the about us section over the next little while as well as some of the other sections. (slowly). And am thinking of some changes as our family is growing and changing.

Hey Ed,
I also really like to read your blogs, and look at your site, since I'm all the way in NYC... so I would love it if you kept doing it. Even though I hardly leave a comment, I'm always checking in to see what you've written.
