UPDATE: I have no idea why the video link was working for some of you and not for others. I have changed it and it now works on my PC and my MAC...so, it should be working for all of you, enjoy and celebrate with us!
If you look to your right (on the sidebar) you will see a link to a video of Lucas' baptism.
Unfortunately, I couldn't keep the original sound, so I just placed a song over it...it is a loss though because when people are baptized at POG the place explodes. It's something to listen to.
Update: Got the sound working!
Just an aside...I put the video together in less than 15 minutes. (very first time using the program)...can I say I love my mac (okay, that was an aside.)
You will need Quicktime Player to view the file and it takes about 8 seconds to start up.
Posted by edPraise God! How awesome to see evidence of how God is using you to bring people to him!
Posted by: IanThat was quite a moment for Lucas - I feel priviledged just to have witnessed it...it was a little like the shepherd boy being annointed; marked as future royalty. And ohhh, the presence of God was in that place! Can't imagine what that must have felt like for you. Congratulations.
Posted by: hanniI will confess something here...the not so good kind of confession. I confess that I wasn't totally in the moment. For a moment I was too worried about the fact that he was so nervous and didn't say much. And for just a moment I was worried about what people might be thinking. Instead of really celebrating with him. But once that was gone I was able to really celebrate. It was really cool putting together the video and music and stuff today. It helped me to really celebrate it. Perhaps even more so than on Sunday.
Beyond all that, it was really, really cool. And yes, God was in that place in a really tangible way.
As you see...I too come with my own baggage.
Posted by: edHow cool is that!
Thank you so much for sharing the video with us, so we can rejoice with you! Just what my heart needed today.
God is so good!!!
How wonderful!!! It brought tears to my eyes!
You must be a proud father to know that your son is following Jesus!
It's neat to watch. God has used Lucas to teach me much about who He is. And Lucas just has a connection with God that is very neat to watch and see develop. Don't get me wrong, he's also a typical 7 year old, who drives me up the wall sometimes. But through it all, there's this connection that is evident.
Posted by: edWow! Very cool! Congratulations, and let Lucas know that the New York contingent is very proud! May He continue to follow Jesus for the rest of his days!!!
