Been fiddling....
No not a musical fiddle. Been fiddling with our church website. Have messed around with the size of the picture and colours. Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think. I welcome creative criticism!
So far I've only changed the main page, because I want to get some thoughts on it before I do the other pages. I think it looks more clean and crisp, but I've been looking at it a lot, so, again, any constructive criticism is welcome.

I think the changes you've made are good. I like the skinnier banner top. I also like how you've added more punch to the miccle section.
And I think the right nav works fine in just white background, but maybe the text of the titles of each section could be a color, and a bit more bold, to bring a bit more attention.
The green that you have in some of the title boxes is the only color that I don't like as much. I think it looks okay when it's right against the blue backgound of he banner picture, but I think that it looks out of place within the rest of the titles. Especially with the black outline around it.
The only other comment is more of a question... Why is the page not centered? I mean, it seems strange to only have such a skinny narrow blue background on the left, cause it could seem more like a mistake then intentional. I think it would look good whether it was centered or completely flush left.

A couple of thoughts. My desire, for now, there's other things that I want to do, but for now, my desire was to get it more crisp and clean. I think I've achieved that, at least to my liking.
if you use, or I use a display set at 1024*768 at that resolution the page is centered. There's also a chance that if you're using a windows machine there are other issues with it. and if you use Explorer, then it's just altogether broken.
I don't know how I feel about the green in the two title boxes yet, I liked it until you mentioned it. I've fiddled still some more but I'm not completely satisfied.

Someone else, a webdesigner I also respect gave me some other great ideas too. So I think the next month or so will involve making changes, unfortunately, I don't have the time, or I confess,the desire to spend tones of time on it. So, it's an as it goes project.
