Sick, yeah right...
Lucas went on a school trip with mom this morning. Except instead of going back to school after the trip, he came home with mom, supposedly sick. He was afraid of coming into the house because of what I might think. A well founded fear as he didn't look and wasn't sick. Mom's a little easier to fool. Vun said that he had looked sick on the bus. The rule in our house is that if you come home sick, you must stay in bed until the bus drives by at the end of the day. So, he spent the afternoon in bed.
Somewhere during the afternoon I went up to talk to him. When I mentioned to him that he didn't look very sick, his answer, "Well, I'm am sick. Sick of school!" It would have served him better to keep up the charade. Lucas has never been a very good liar, which I'm glad for.
The stay in bed for the rest of the day rule is going to change. From now on if he comes home sick and he isn't, he's going right back.

It was so great to hear from you. We have a picture of your family from the OBC reunion! Congrats on your fairly new addition. He is adorable just like your others. Weird that you are pastoring in Port. We have been there a few times to stay with the Abrahams. They are amazing. It still seems odd to call Ashlee an Abraham. Glad to hear that everything is going well. Please keep in touch. We'll do the same.
