Exciting Weekend - Part II

Yesterday was my 37th birthday. As the service was ending. Will D. (good friend) basically walked to the front and said he was taking over. He then announced my birthday. Everyone sang Happy Birthday. At which point a cake with candles showed up out of nowhere. And then I was invited to the front, people laid hands on me and prayed for me. It was a very moving time for me.

I was completely surprised by this. I really, really didn't expect it and so it just blew me away.

The picture above is of the "Lucas Pizza Cookie." A few months ago, while Vania was making chocolate chip cookies. Lucas had an idea, why not add marshmallows to the recipie. Well, it was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever tasted. And I've tasted a lot. Anyway, yesterday, he baked me one. Pizza size. I'd love to tell you it'll last, but we're going on the last few crumbs. Thanks Lucas.

At the end of the day, after the kids were put to bed. Vania and I headed over to a neighbours house and watched the Survivor finalle with them. Yull won. Which I'd called from the first day. It was a really cool time of connecting. We ended up talking till 12:30am. They're a really neat couple and we look forward to spending more time with them.

All in all, a very fun and fulfilling birthday.
