I have many up nights. But this is extreme even for me.
My doctor says I don't know how to shut off my brain. I asked him where the shut off button was, he couldn't tell me.
Posted by: edI am good as long as I don't get up in the a.m. and look at the clock before the alarm goes off ... otherwise my brain has a hair trigger ... and on it goes and up I am ... have seen a few 5a.m's in my time
Posted by: IanOn nights like those I should just get up and go do some work and sleep in the next day, would be much more productive.
The point is that I'm a night person. Meaning, I'm usually going pretty good till about 1:30am. I think part of it is an issue of expectations. But not everyone works best from 9-5. So, if you have the opportunity, why not work in the hours that work best for you and in which you do your best work.
I've been telling myself that for years, and I've tried it at times, but the guilt of others expectations usually get to me and I try to fall in line with the crowd again.
I know, I know...
