Lucas and I spent all day Saturday in Toronto. We went to see the Jays vs. Devil Rays. However, as I thought would happen, Lucas lasted all of three innings. Good thing the tickets were free. Nice tickets too, two rows back from the visiting team dug out.
We actually spent more time touring the Skydome (Rogers Center) than anything else. Walked up all the way to the very top, scaring Lucas, who is very afraid of heights. Besides that, Lucas rode the subway for the very first time, which seemed to be the highlight of his day.
He wore his wheelies, mom's idea, so he had lots of places to roll around, especially on the Skyway and the Rogers Center. But his most favourite place to wheel, the subway. He soon discovered that if he timed it right as the Subway was slowing down to come into the station if he just stood there, he could wheel from one end of the train car to the other. The worst part, he screamed all the way up and down the car. I wanted to tell him to be quiet, but he was having so much fun, I just let him go. Clearly, something the Torontonian subway riders were not used to.
It was a good Father, son date. You can see all the pictures right here.
