For a while now, I've been wrestling with do I keep posting, don't I keep posting. You've heard me mention it a few times now. Quite a few of you tell me you check in on the blog regularly to find out how we're doing, but don't post. And that's absolutely fine. I check in on several blogs I never post on as well.
However, at the same time, I'm pretty tired of people who come out of nowhere and love to post, seemingly, just to hear themselves speak, and who, most of the time, don't really have anything constructive to say. I think I'm being nice saying it that way. So, I've decided to moderate the comments on the blog and hold them for approval.
I don't have a problem if you disagree with me. However, be nice and think before you just blurb out stuff and especially pass judgement on people. Those kinds of comments will no longer be accepted, appear here, or be engaged in dialogue.
Hopefully, this will lead to me posting a little more regularly. It's gotten to the point where I don't feel like posting because I'm tired of having to read a lot of the stuff that gets left here, well meaning or not.
People who love to say whatever they feel like, however they feel like, whenever they feel like it, love to remind me that it's a public blog and that gives them the right to do this. My only thought is that just because you have the right to go to a public washroom, you don't have the right to crap all over the floor.
Of course that analogy could be understood to be saying something about the blog itself, oh well, I think all analogies break down at some point :)
