Yep, the spammers are getting smarter. I have found that once they have found your site, the only thing you can really do to dissuade them is to use MT Blacklist and set up comment moderation with Typekey. Blacklist will catch 95 % of the spam, but if that 5% gets through, they pepper your site before you can catch them. That's why I've now resorted to approving all comments before they post. Forcing a preview or changing the name of the mtcomments.cgi will only dissuade the least sophisticated of the spammers.

Right now it's pretty moderate, but if they begin getting nasty again, I think I'll resort to approving my comments as well
